Netflix has completely changed the game when it comes to online streaming. I honestly don’t think I could go without it. I have it on my Apple TV, iPad and am signed in on my laptop… I’m committed. I’m always on the hunt for a new movie or show to watch so I thought I’d share some of my favorites with you. Here is what I’ve been watching on Netflix as of late:
Woman In Gold // Ok when Roger suggested to watch this I completely apposed because I knew I was going to be a mess and sure enough I was but it is so good!!! The film follows Maria Altmann’s journey in retrieving a painting that was taken from her family during the Holocaust in Austria. This film will without a doubt stay with me forever.
Minimalism // It’s no secret that minimalism has taken the world by storm. I have to say that living a simpler life with less clutter has been a goal of mine since moving to Dallas. Ryan and Joshua a.k.a “The Minimalists” share their story on how they began living their life as minimalists. An inspiring documentary with a great message behind it that I believe everyone can take something away from.
The People v. O. J. Simpson: American Crime Story // If you watch anything from my recommendations let it be this one. The trial for the murders of Nikole Brown and Ron Jackson is easily one of the most controversial trials in American history. I applaud every individual who took part in this series as well as the real people who dedicated so much of themselves to the victims and their families. If you love crime shows and you’re looking for something that has you on the edge of your seat look no further. Be prepared with some popcorn and a night of binge watching on Netflix. You’ve been warned.
The Impossible // The Impossible is another thriller that I just couldn’t look away from. The movie is about a family trip in Thailand that quickly takes a turn for the unimaginable. The film follows each member of the family in their struggle to make their way back to one another.
Finding Dory // On a much lighter note Finding Dory was one of my favorite movies in 2016. Whether you’re an adult or kid, Finding Dory is a must-see. I loved it so much I went to see it more times than I care to admit out loud. Sequels tend to be overwhelming but if I’m being completely honest I loved Finding Dory so much more than Finding Nemo. This hit Netflix so quickly and I can see why!
Stranger Things // I am not even going to attempt to describe Stranger Things so I will leave you with the first season’s trailer. I watched this because I wanted to see what all the hype was about and oh my goodness I was not ready. My only regret is that I didn’t see it sooner. I can’t wait for season two to arrive!! I was left with so many questions. If by any chance you haven’t seen it yet you need to log on to Netflix and see it now.
Do you have any Netflix recommendations? I’d love to hear them.
