Week In Review

Spring break has unofficially started! Today is the last day of school or work for many including me and I couldn’t be more ready for it. This weekend also comes with daylight savings which means we will lose an hour of sleep. Not so exciting. I am however ready for more sunlight throughout the day. I now make it back home just a little after the sun sets instead of getting home and it feeling like 10:00 pm. One step closer to summer!

I had a mid-week surprise when my dad came to visit during a business trip. We managed to squeeze in a night out to dinner and really enjoyed spending time with him. Since moving to Dallas I hardly have the opportunity to see my parents so when I do I cherish it. I’ve spent most of the week making sure I had everything for our upcoming trip to Austin. I didn’t want to be running errands at the last minute so I took care everything ahead of time. Have you ever been to Austin? If you have please send over your recommendations! We are still figuring out where we’d like to go.

Okay! Here’s a roundup whats caught my eye this week:

ONE // How the World Celebrated International Women’s Day

This is a great piece by Time Magazine. It’s a real eye opener and a reminder of how different things are around the world. While there is still much work to be done it is inspiring to see so many women come together to empower one another. Who run the world?! GIRLS!

TWO // Mary-Kate and Ashely Olsen Net-A-Porter Interview

This interview was so refreshing to read. I love the Olsen twins and have admired their work on both The Row and Elizabeth and James. Have you seen their NYC store?! To die for. It is interesting to see their take on fashion as they have removed themselves almost completely from the public eye. I especially love how boldly and unapologetically they are themselves.

THREE //  Harry Potter Audiobooks

I have recently dived back into reading the Harry Potter series. This time I have been listening to the book before I go to bed and have really been enjoying it. Jim Dales does an amazing job and his accent makes the whole experience complete. I have been listening to them on Youtube so if you’re interested just head on over to Youtube and you should find them there.

FOUR // The Best Beauty Advice From Centenarians

A friend of mine sent this to me yesterday and I absolutely died of cute overload! These ladies are so sweet. “I don’t feel dressed unless I have lipstick on”. Ugh. So. True. More than anything this put a huge smile on my face!

FIVE // Khalid

If you heard my workout playlist then you already heard Khalid’s “American Teen” which is one of my favorite songs off of his new album. It’s just so good! I’ll be playing this album on our road trip to Austin. Khalid is an upcoming artist from El Paso, my hometown! How amazing is that?! I am so incredibly proud of what he has done with his platform and can’t wait to see what comes next for him.

XO – I
